Welcome to the Whitecourt Mountain Bike Association website, first off, here's a little bit about us .
The WMBA was formed by seven friends that share a love for mountain biking who saw the potential in and around Whitecourt to promote mountain biking and enhancement of the sport while providing additional opportunities for recreation to locals and tourists through the area. WMBA became incorporated under the Society’s Act as a not-for-profit organization on February 4, 2011. Our Vision is to develop, maintain and promote the best possible mountain biking opportunities around the Whitecourt area, while ensuring responsible and safe practices in environmental conservation, trail construction, trail maintenance and riding. Over the last few years we have revived local trails, and continue to work in the area with our members to forge ahead with new developments. In the summer of 2015 we collaborated with Justin Truelove with the International Mountain Bike Association Canada and created our first natural surface trails. Read the story here We are continuing to develop our Mountain Bike park 2021 will bring us our new blue/black flow train starting at centennial trail above the bike park and exiting at the parking lot. We will be working on fundraising tor our skills area and addition of more great trails! If you are interested in becoming a member, fill out the application on the WMBA page.
